Australian Captain signs on as Captain of Sandgropers

The Sandgropers are excited to announce that Anthony "Fuzz" Barranca, the recent Australian captain on quad series tour in New Zealand, has signed with the Gropers.

Anthony has just returned from an undefeated tri-series in New Zealand where he was the captain of the Australian Team and Anthony played in the 2023 Over 50s World Cup in South Africa and scored a century on that tour.

Anthony is a left hand opening batsman and wicket keeper and has had a long and very successful career playing locally with the Perth Cricket club in the Western Australian Cricket Association competition.

He is a tenacious and highly competitive cricketer but always plays his cricket in the right spirit and will further solidify the vision of the team to to be recognized as a leading organization that whilst having a deep passion for the sport, will promote player development and further foster the 'spirit of cricket'.
