Sandgropers secure WA Franchise Rights

The Sandgropers T20 Cricket Team secured the rights to compete in the Global T20 Over 50's cricket tournament to be held later this year in Mildura, Victoria from 26th September to 30th September.

This event is the inaugural event and the first international tournament to be held as part of a larger international tournament which will see the winners of the various international tournaments compete in a winner takes all tournament in the United Arab Emirates in 2025.

The Sandgropers was established by a consortium of WA business owners that will foster the 'spirit of cricket', a passion for the sport and will promote player development and inspire the local community.

The purpose is to provide a platform for aspiring veteran cricketers to hone their skills, compete at the highest level and to embrace the spirit of cricket in a competitive, social and healthy environment.

The Team offers comprehensive training programs, coaching and mentorship to help players reach their full potential and achieve their unfulfilled cricketing goals and improve their mental health.
